What happens at Pok-O when the sun goes down? Well, the fun doesn't stop....that's for sure! Yesterday, our new arrival campers got to experience their first night of Section Activities...a classic introduction to life at Pok-O-MacCready Camps...and a great way to get to know their fellow campers. Over the course of the next three weeks, campers will indulge in an assortment of activities ranging from the creative to the wonderfully bizarre! Section Activities provide a much-needed break from classes, and a chance for campers to cut loose and just have fun!
Some highlights of the evening included: the Lodge Girls bouncing their way around the water trampoline, while the Senior Girls could be spotted darting around camp, looking for items to document in their digital photo scavenger hunt. The Senior Boys certainly gave the counselors a run for their money in what appeared to be a complete mutiny during a game of "British Bulldog". As always, the Intermediate Boys had a blast while playing a variation of "Black Line"...which is a variation of "Dodgeball". Intermediate Girls capped off their night by making s'mores by the fire. "I think I left mine in too long" said Piper, while extinguishing her first attempt at a perfectly roasted marshmallow. No worries....she'll have plenty of opportunities to perfect her skills s'more before the summer ends!
